Photo Of The Week

A super awesome friend of mine reminded me of my photo of the week project. See...one week in and I almost forgot. This image was captured without thought as a group of girlfriends were walking down the corridors of a Puerto Rican city exploring its hidden secrets. This trip was absolutely amazing and Puerto Rico is extremely beautiful throughout its cities and landscapes.

Photo Of The Week

A new project that I am introducing which has the goal of pleasing your eyes and forcing me to continue through my creative block and get back to the fun that is photography. Winter is so difficult to get through because I get lazy. Lazy like a bear that needs to hibernate...LAZY. So, lets see if I can continue with the goal of posting a photo of the week! :) Please enjoy!

What Once Was...A Tribute

It is quite amazing to realize the beauty that the cycle of life can bring. A fresh kill created by a family kitten beast provided a little something to analyze and appreciate. I find the image somewhat amusing, I am not sure why...perhaps the way the toes are curling or maybe it's the position of the birds final rest with one leg up and one leg down? Maybe it is simply the subject matter...who photographs a dead bird?

Sunday

What can one do when they are alone with their camera on a Sunday during the most beautiful time of the year?! Simple...capture nature's beauty. I spent the day alone to explore and revisit some of my favorite places on Cape Cod. I first ended up in a beautiful spot in Brewster, MA...the trees were showing off some of their most gorgeous autumn colors. I then drove to Scargo Lake in Dennis, this is always a wonderful location to visit for the water always sparkles in the sunlight and the swans are there to always say hello...or hiss...depending on which one you make nice with. (A special experience either way.) I then drove to a peaceful graveyard in Yarmouth which looked peaceful in the afternoon light. My last experience was back home, I photographed the last flower blooming in the yard along with the changing ornamental grasses. Honestly, a great day of peace, beauty and photography.

Wedding - Cape Cod, Massachusetts

A ceremony celebrated by the sea.

The entire day was a perfect celebration of love and absolute fun. Wayne & Lynsey took their inspiration from the beach with dazzling colors of sea greens and cool blues. The ceremony was a beautiful August Cape Cod wedding day complete with warm sand and bare feet for shoes were most certainly NOT required.

As Wayne & Lynsey stood beneath their handmade arbour, the people closest to them got to experience their charming and romantic wedding.

Congratulations Lynsey & Wayne!

Wedding - Bear Mountain State Park, New York

A collection of rugged mountains with picturesque beauty and unique charm.

I had the opportunity to photograph Patrick & Karen's amazing wedding in early August and what a beautiful New York wedding it was.

Patrick & Karen's day was full of laughter, fun and precious moments. So they could mingle with family and friends during the cocktail hour, we chose to do the portrait sessions before the ceremony. As we went from location to location finding great opportunities for charming photographic moments, the excitement grew as the ceremony was around the corner. An outdoor nuptial it was with a view of the lush green mountains and gorgeous lake below.

Congratulations Karen & PJ!
