Lemon Citrine A Dream

In my entry "The Pink Ladies" I mentioned I was going antiquing for the first time. That day was certainly eventful. It began perfectly, I had dressed comfortably, I had my friend join me and we were ready to search the Cape for interesting objects. I began my journey by stopping by a local shop (where there are no antiques but pretty sparkly things). I couldn't help myself so I purchased the necklace that I had been eyeing for over a year. I was so happy and so excited. Its a rare occasion where I feel not guilty for indulging on something so sweet.

We then proceeded down Route 6A and stopped off at many buildings which advertised unique little signs that read "Antiques." One stop even tricked us leading us to believe that this particular house (in the middle of many commercial businesses) was also a shop but was in fact someone's home that we had accidentily entered. After leaving red faced, we then found a great place where it was an antiquer's delight. Spending a few hours searching through vintage photographs and dusty things we both came out empty handed.

Now I am one of those people that feels a little down after putting so much effort into searching and shopping but I was only sad that I couldn't find that special old little thing. However, I did end the day wearing my new shining necklace. What an experience. I am going to try again soon.
