Beauty In The Spring

Summer is just around the corner but these beautiful flowers have begun their cycle a month ago. Brilliant and fresh, from buds to fully grown flowers...I am thankful to have captured them in their moment.

May Day

I love all of the seasons however, Spring is exciting because all of the dark, cold dreariness disappears and the beautiful leaves and flowers start to come to life once again. Its a re-birth of nature's beauty. It's so easy to open your eyes and find these new beginnings all around you...

Photo Of The Week

As my world is turning upside down I am trying to find the positive and stick with what I love. As my life is transitioning into a new chapter, I make a promise to myself to focus, work hard but ENJOY what I do. It is my pleasure to share this image with you...a skeleton of what was once a sturdy, beautiful leaf. It still exists but in a different form...a lovely transition.

The Mist

Mild the mist upon the hill
Telling not of storms tomorrow;
No, the day has wept its fill,
Spent its store of silent sorrow.

O, I'm gone back to the days of youth,
I am a child once more,
And 'neath my father's sheltering roof
And near the old hall door

I watch this cloudy evening fall
After a day of rain;
Blue mists, sweet mists of summer pall
The horizon's mountain chain.

The damp stands on the long green grass
As thick as morning's tears,
And dreamy scents of fragrance pass
That breathe of other years. -Emily Bronte

The Pink Ladies

Sensual. Startling. Vivid. Dazzling. Radiant. Beautiful. I recently found this image among my collection of orchid pictures from February's local orchid show. I find orchids very beautiful and very interesting to photograph. I am not an expert or an avid collector of orchids but I do have a few around my house and workplace which I enjoy viewing whenever they are in bloom. Taking many varieties of photographs, I do enjoy capturing flowers in bloom as well. Next on my list? An antique treasure of awesomeness. Tomorrow I am diving into the world of antiques while searching for that perfect model of timeless beauty...or perhaps better yet mysterious"ness". I wonder what I might find, I really have never "antiqued" before...should be interesting.

Three Stages Of Life

I have decided to show this image (captured in Germany) because for me it represents three stages of life and the four seasons. As Spring begins, the seeds are placed into the ground ready to awaken from their dormant slumber, for then the process of life is activated. A few weeks later the sprouts, the little inkling of green peeks through and continues to grow and grow. As time goes by, the little green buds become young plants. They are ready to show off all that they have. Before you know it, the large, beautiful plant is blooming and serving its purpose. It is living its life to the fullest and giving it all that it has. I love Spring, it's almost here...I was impatient and started my plants early this season. I am proud to have the ability to help the greenery achieve its purpose. I am very excited to move through the seasons while enjoying the warmth of the sun and the green of the plants. This is a deep entry...I feel the need to express how excited I am that Spring is around the corner and that we can soon join the outside world instead of viewing it through a window.

Inspiration

I find myself wondering where my inspiration is lurking...I know its out there but I just can't seem to grasp it, not yet but I know it's on it's way. I have decided to share this particular image for the mere fact that I can not remember when I took it...and honestly, I like that about it. It was a delicate surprise that allowed a smile to slip. It presents my favorite colors and it allows me to feel a calming emotion. Maybe this picture, this moment that I have captured is enough for me to find my way... For me, photography is endless with many exciting possibilities. I may have said this before but "the most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious."

Ideal

This photograph was captured on my trip to Prince Edward Island, Canada last summer. While visiting a friends new home for the first time, I noticed that around every corner there seemed to be a beautiful little treasure. What turned out to be a simple little photograph ended up being my most popular image on Deviant Art. I am amazed at how many times its been included in other peoples posts and I wanted to share it with you here. Thank you for those who have enjoyed it and I hope that you, my new visitors will enjoy it as well.
